The Project Management Office (PMO) in IT houses the Business Analyst (BA) team. In a broad sense, the business analyst acts as a conduit for information between business stakeholders and IT personnel. In order for the business users to comprehend the current business process and their desire for change, the BA is responsible for fostering talks among the users. To guarantee that the IT team designs a solution that will meet the needs of all stakeholders, the BA must then precisely document and articulate this need.
Responsibilities
- Identify the needs of the business.
- Make and keep records of the business requirements (BRD).
- Facilitate the BA/DEV/QA 3-Amigo requirements review.
- Secure BRD approval and signature.
- assistance in the creation and testing of deliverables.
- Create a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Plan; discuss and verify it with business stakeholders (s).
- Promote UAT and communicate outcomes.
- Secure UAT signoff and approval.
- Create a Go-Live Plan (when needed).
- Create training materials and instruct the instructors (when needed).
- Complete post-go-live testing; add defects as needed.
- Gain an understanding of the end users' present business processes; record them; update them to reflect the new state when the project is complete; and link the documentation to the Business Process Catalog. (In accordance with their area of focus and assigned tasks).
- Update the status of the assignments (progress, milestones, issues).
- Support and guide your team.
Follow PMO procedures.
- Prioritization of the project.
- Documentation Guidelines (templates, meeting minutes, OneNote, etc.)
- Time tracking in TFS.
- Requests for project changes.
Follow IT procedures.
Climate Calendar.
Alternate Control.
Security.
- Attend meetings for release management (when applicable).
- Investigate production problems that are allocated to BA queues in the Service Desk and work together on solutions; escalate as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Business or information technology bachelor's degree desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX for 3 to 5 years is preferred.
- 1+ years working as a business analyst or in a comparable position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
