About Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD)
Our Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD) provides governance and administration of Cat® dealers across the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Development Consultant to join our team of HR professionals to build competitive talent capability for the Americas Distribution Services Division. In this role, you will design, build, and enable the implementation of workforce planning, performance management, career development, learning and development and leadership development programs & processes. The position's primary customers are internal.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
The Talent Development Consultant will identify, develop, and execute plans that enable ADSD to align talent with the company’s strategic business objectives. Areas of opportunity include, but are not limited to the following:
Effective professional development programs and learning processes that build the employee capabilities for critical roles needed by the business.
Diversity and inclusion strategies, Employee Insights and action planning processes, and organizational effectiveness processes to build and maintain an organizational culture that attracts and retains talent and enables the business to meet its objectives.
Succession planning and talent pipelining processes for key positions; assess, design, and implement internal programs to grow talent and improve the organization’s succession and bench strength.
Project management of initiatives supporting the broader human resources team.
Reporting and analyzing People metrics data.
The position is challenged to carefully evaluate problems and review many possible solutions before selecting one option. Problems may be complex and can require you to develop multiple solutions, make timely decisions, and communicate effectively. You will set priorities and establish a work plan to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve organizational and leadership objectives. This position requires experience-based knowledge, a commitment to continuous improvement, and demonstrated success in delivering high-quality, impactful solutions. Strong initiative and relationship-building skills are also a must, along with having the demonstrated ability to have courageous conversations and be an advocate for all employees.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
At least 5 years progressive Human Resources, Organizational Development or Training experience
Strong project and process management skills; the ability to partner with diverse groups to take work from concept to launch
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills)
Ability to travel up to 15% (some international – Canada, LATAM)
Top candidates will also have:
Able to analyze data quickly and thoroughly and provide sound business recommendations based on data.
Experience completing full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate) and facilitating training programs
Experience with learning management and application tracking systems
Experience communicating and influencing internal leaders at various levels in the organization
Additional Information:
This position would ideally be located in Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX; however open to remote candidates within the U.S. but travel requirement will increase.
