What is the Role?
As Business Development Manager (BDM) within Solid, you will be in charge of bringing new business opportunities, through cold email, cold calls, networking, and social selling.
Business development representatives at Solid are responsible for (in this order):
Finding new leads
Qualifying leads
Handing over leads to our Sales team
Who does this role report to?
Manu Prasanna, Head of Growth at Solid. Manu has been one of the key figures for the new SaaS company, launches, and growth at various tech companies in Silicon Valley. As a marketeer Manu specializes in ABM strategies, building out Sales/Marketing teams, and creating playbooks for high growth.
Top responsibilities & accountabilities:
Achieve and exceed monthly targets for meetings, lead creation & pipeline generated
Learn the product and buyer personas inside and out, helping craft creative and engaging messaging for prospects
Meet regularly with key stakeholders, report on team results, and participate in conversations about business direction and scalability
Help develop and deliver ongoing training on sales prospecting, email outreach, and outbound calling for new BDRs joining the team.
Be a team player and discuss challenges and celebrate wins
What do I need to excel in this role?
2+ years of experience as an BDR with a proven track record of success, preferably in a fast-paced FinTech/SaaS startup environment
Strong analytical skills and an understanding of the modern sales stack
Experience partnering with Marketing teams on account-based marketing strategies
A history of meeting or exceeding monthly targets
A passion for sales and the process around it
Intellectual curiosity and hustle!
