AVENU™ is looking for a dynamic and passionate Business/Systems Analyst with experience in the Banking/Payment industry to support the Avenu platform (a Bank as a Service (BaaS) platform). This is an exciting opportunity to participate in building and implementing a new core banking platform.
What You Will Do
- This is can be a hybrid / remote position, but may require travel to our Sterling and Fairfax, Virginia offices
- Analyzing and communicating stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize process and strategy documents into process flows with clear next steps.
- Documenting and evaluating required data and information.
- Document Epics, User Stories, Tasks, Technical Stories, and other artifacts as required by Avenue agile development policies. Ensure that all User Stories are independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, sized appropriately, and testable.
- Acting as liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, customers and the development team.
- Coordinate and facilitate discussion sessions between vendors, customers, business stakeholders, product team, subject matter experts, and other contributors as necessary
- Collecting and documenting business requirements
- Using requirements to write user stories/test scripts
- Partners with the team to estimate backlog and then prioritizes ongoing sprints to maintain Roadmap
- Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement, evaluate impact to the business, and propose strategic solutions
- Using modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through an organization to enhance project success.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in IT
- At least 4 years of experience as a Business /Systems Analyst
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to focus with close attention to detail
- Must have experience in Banking / Payment systems
- Attend Scrum ceremonies (daily, retrospective, planning, review, sprint demos)
- Experience with SCRUM/KANBAN methodologies
- Expert with JIRA and confluence
- Knowledge of API Testing Tools like Postman, SOAP UI etc
- Understanding of JSON, REST, and API’s are highly desirable
- Excellent documentation, communication, facilitation skills
- Knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
- Knowledge of and the ability to use tools and techniques for analyzing and documenting logical relationships among data, processes and API’s.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different team members and stakeholders.
- Great organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during analysis and organize the rapidly changing information.
- Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and teams about their needs and ask the right questions to gather essential requirements
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment and meet required schedules and timelines
