Buyer
Contract: 3-6 months
Responsible for ordering items/products/services requisitioned according to established purchasing procedures, developing supplier sources, and maintaining purchasing record system.
Responsibilities:
- Order items/products/services from Purchase Requisition form in accordance with established purchasing procedures.
- Coordinate purchasing details with vendor, including pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutions, back orders, delivery dates, invoice discrepancies and the like.
- Review quotations specifically pricing, delivery, and quality with supervisor before awarding vendor contract.
- Expedite critical orders.
- Research and develop vendor sources for purchase of items/products/services requisitioned.
- Maintain record/filing system for P.O. and documentation.
- General Office Maintenance
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Purchasing/Materials Management or related degree program or equivalent purchasing experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective negotiation and communication skills
- Experience with ERP, MRP, MS Office software
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
