This position will perform all planning and procurement responsibilities, as assigned, for the KSEA Logistic Organization, which includes some key vendors and critical products. This individual will have distribution experience working with high volume, numbers, values, trends and analysis. This position is critical to the KARL STORZ organization and its commitment to provide every customer, both internal to the organization and external end users, the highest quality, products and services in our Industry.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
- APICS certification preferred.
- Distribution experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with high volume, trends, and analysis
- 2-5 years purchasing and planning experience required.
- Working experience with computerized MRP systems. SAP experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Working knowledge of Supply Chain Management.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting – This position is required to generate reports, analyze and review the data and take action on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. These reports include but are not limited to backorder status, long term planning analysis, min / max inventory levels and dollars, stock analysis, PO reports and inventory turns.
- Material requirement planning is critical to this position and the organization as a whole. Short and long term planning, calculating months of inventory on hand and updating SAP planning parameters are done on a routine basis to ensure accurate inventory levels to support the SAP forecast.
- Marketing / Sales / Program Managers – In this position the individual is required to build and maintain relationships with the marketing and sales departments. Coherent and continual discussions on forecast analysis, trends, backorder situations and long term plans for inventory levels and dollars.
- Preemptive reporting and action is required to avoid excess / obsolete inventory. This job responsibility is ongoing. Weekly update and communication with the Inventory Analyst is required.
- Initiating and ensuring cost reduction on product, service, delivery and payment terms is required. This includes, but not limited to process improvements that ultimately save the organization money. This includes but is not limited to KSEA sister companies and 3rd party vendors.
- Work closely with KSEA Accounts Payable department to research and resolve Invoice issues.
- This position is responsible for the complete life cycle of a product. New product introduction, planning parameters, promotions, forecast projections, trending analysis, maturity and product decline. Maintain SAP planning parameters and ensure data integrity for discontinued and obsolete product.
- Coordinate with Customer Service, warehouse personal and Incoming Inspection to satisfy customer backorders and ensure product quality.
- Process and follow thru with Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCR).
- Timely Purchase Order placement and follow-up is required.
