Scotia Technology, an aerospace tubing manufacturer located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is seeking a full-time Buyer to join our team.
Scotia fabricates precision welded and brazed tube assemblies for some of the largest aerospace companies in the world including Northrop Grumman, United Technologies, Rolls Royce and Lockheed Martin.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity from purchase to delivery.
- Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity.
- Identify preferred suppliers to satisfy quality standards for our manufactured pieces.
- Negotiates cost and contracts for goods
- Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
- Manages inventory liabilities.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ensure all company safety policies are followed
- Regularly and consistently to work on time
- Other duties as assigned
The Individual
- Associates Degree or 3-5 years experience. Or equivalent combination.
EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience preferred but not required
