Cabinet Estimator

Schwieters Companies is seeking to hire a highly motivated full-time, Cabinet Estimator to join our team to design, estimate, and project manage cabinet lines to builders/contractors, generally in the residential division, and in some commercial.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Work requires knowledge of the construction industry and the ability to carefully read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Using 20/20 software to generate detailed estimates for cabinetry
• Using 20/20 software to create layouts for product submittals
• Using 20/20 software to generate cabinetry installation drawings and provide detailed installation instructions for field use
• Obtain pricing on related material to include with cabinetry estimate
• Complete submittal documents for applicable scopes of work
• Organize and maintain project information through the duration of a project, with the ability to handle multiple projects at a time
• Communicate with project managers, jobsite supervisors, finish carpenters, architects/designers, and other subcontractors as needed
• Act as a main point of contact on projects for vendors with whom you have purchased material or installation services from
• Support sales and estimating staff by providing knowledge of cabinetry materials
• Perform field verifications, record measurements, and review for possible issues with current cabinetry layouts
• Place and review material orders
• Generate project close-out documents
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous estimating experience or product knowledge of cabinetry preferred
• Kitchen/bath design experience preferred
• Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture courses/degree preferred
• Experience with design software, such as 20/20 & AutoCAD is a plus
• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including Office 365, specifically Excel
• Analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work
• Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to work extra hours when needed
• Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines
• Excellent mathematical aptitude and problem solving
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
• Excellent written communication, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

WORK SCHEDULE

• Monday-Friday, (7am-4pm, 1 hour lunch)
• Hybrid/Remote work available 2 days a week after training is complete
• Location of job: 13925 Fenway Blvd. N., Hugo, MN 55038

COMPENSATION

• $22-$26 per hr. depending on qualifications/experience
