The Opportunity: CONSOR Engineers, LLC (CONSOR) is seeking a Senior CADD Manager to join our Team to provide CAD section leadership along with daily design and drafting support for a growing practice. Position Overview: This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the growth of CONSOR’s practice through outstanding technical delivery. The candidate will help establish CADD standards and procedures, coordinate CAD resources, and utilize high level CAD design skills to help deliver projects. Projects include transportation and water infrastructure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• CAD section leadership experience
• Superior time management, planning and ability to interact positively with co-workers and clients.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design drawing packages
• Capable of developing pipeline alignments, profiles, details, and associated infrastructure designs from general written or verbal direction from engineers
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
• Model existing and proposed utilities within the AutoCAD Civil 3D environment
• Facilitate preparation and review of engineering drawing packages with project managers/engineers.
• Develop initial engineering layouts and creation of design drawings for conveyance systems, treatment and pumping facilities
• Ability to assemble plan sets through coordination with multiple engineering disciplines and associated reference files
• Supervise and train other technologists, technicians, and drafters.
• Perform routine and complex drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drafting techniques
• Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations to obtain data required to revise construction drawings
• Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary
• Perform quantity and geometry calculations in CAD environment to support designs and development of engineer construction cost estimates
• Interact and coordinate with all project stakeholders.
• Understands and adheres to project budgets, schedule, and quality requirements
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Director.

Required Credentials:

• At least 8 years of CAD section management experience
• Experience developing CAD standards and procedures for a multi-user environment
• Experience developing alignments and profiles of water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer projects utilizing 3-dimensional CAD software
• Familiarity with the capabilities and features of various CAD platforms, including Revit, Civil 3D, MEP 3D, PlantWorks 3D, MicroStation, etc., although proficiency in all platforms is not required
• Strong understanding of the requirements of building information management (BIM) systems
• Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
• Ability to effectively communicate with engineers, project managers and colleagues
