Unit Assistants

Should be enthusiastic, caring adults who are passionate about working with girls. Assist Unit Leaders in the day-to-day activities in their living unit and program areas and help maintain the health and safety of all campers. Recognize and respond to opportunities for problem-solving in the group. Assist in girl-driven unit-specific programming. Help guide the unit and individual campers in participating successfully in all aspects of camp activities, with an eye towards meeting the needs of each camper.

Requirements:

• Must be age 18 or older
• Be enthusiastic, caring adults who are passionate about working with girls

Training Provided:

• One-week paid staff training
• Additional certification week (if needed) may include: CPR, Wilderness First Aid, Lifeguarding, Canoeing, Challenge Course, Hatchet Throwing, Archery, and others

Dates of employment:

• Mid - June to end of August

Physical requirements:

Ability and willingness to perform tasks that involve the ability to exert physical effort, which may involve bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 40 pounds). Regular standing and prolonged periods of walking on rough and uneven terrain at camp is required.

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,300.00 per year
