What you'll do:
Prepares and applies detailing with paint, decals or stencils.
Operates specialized paint and metal surface application equipment and measuring tools.
Mixes and applies alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, powder coats, urethane, zinc epoxies and water borne paint systems according to a prescribed formula.
Initiates and maintains all applicable paperwork as required.
Follows all safety rules and practices.
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Apply decals (must have mobile equipment certification)
Apply caulking in the prep area
Repair exterior paint
Operate scissor lift (or scaffold)
Perform basic exterior touch-up coating using a brush or roller
Stencils
Purge surfaces of all chemicals and contaminates through simple processes
Install Grates and Screens on the sides and deck of the railcar
May be involved in committees or initiatives
Follow all safety rules and practices
Perform other duties as assigned
