State Roofing has an opening for a professional who is skilled in the areas of deck and patio cover construction, siding and window installation. Our customers hire us to build the highest quality projects in the PNW from cedar, composite, IPE and other amazing hardwoods. We're looking for a team player who understands the importance of quality construction and delivering a second to none customer experience.

Your role involves interaction with customers, demolition and building high end custom cedar, Timber Tech, IPE decks, patio covers, and siding and window installation. You will report to your jobsite foreman who are all some of the best in the business. If you're interested in adding to your skills, there is no better place to be.

You bring 3+ years, or more experience building decks, patio covers, and installing siding and windows with attention to detail, and excellent references. You’re also a team builder who enjoys training people and keeping your co-workers safe on the job. Attention to detail is a must. You may drive your own vehicle to job sites or ride in a company truck from our Tacoma location.

Our construction division is busy all year long, so there is job security at State Roofing.

Carpenter:

• Ability to build to local building codes, including hand drawn specifications.
• Read and follow deck drawings and blueprints to construct said design.
• Carpenter for minimum of 3-years
• Demolition and building new decks - hands on position.
• Experience building all types of cedar rails and composite rail systems.
• Experience installing Hardie and cedar siding.
• Installation of windows to ARMA standards
• WA driver's license
• Willing to work in various locations from Arlington to Olympia, with a focus on south King, Pierce, Kitsap and Thurston Counties. We endeavor to provide work closest to your home shop when possible.
• Excellent communication skills with customers
• Have all necessary hand tools and knowledge of said tools to construct a quality product

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
