Cat Adoption Specialist

Company Description:

Ten Lives Club is a non-profit cat shelter in Western New York with our own vet staff and 16 additional adoption locations. Our organization is dedicated to reducing the number of cats euthanized each year due to overpopulation and lack of space in shelters. Since our creation in 2001, we have saved the lives of or assisted with over 35,000 cats through rescue and our adoption program.

Key Factors for the Ideal Candidate:

· MUST like cats and have NO cat allergies.

· Must be extremely comfortable in a fast-paced work environment while still maintaining daily important responsibilities and meeting tight deadlines.

· Must take the initiative.

· Must be a strong multi-tasker and problem solver, who can handle working a variety of different settings.

· Must have adequate interpersonal skills, positive and upbeat attitude.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

· Customer service is the primary responsibility of this role.

· Assist with maintaining the visual appeal of the shelter reception area.

· Ensure everyone entering is being greeted, welcomed and assisted.

· Processing adoptions, assisting with paperwork and ensuring the documents are inputted into our shelter software accurately.

· Assist in cleaning, prepping and sanitizing kennels for incoming cats as needed.

Job Specifics:

· Part time position - 24 hours per week

· Pay Range: $15 - $16 hourly (commensurate with experience)

· Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 11:00am to 5:00pm
