The Category Manager will oversee select category management functions as an integral part of NDCP’s Equipment Solutions Group. Category responsibilities include Equipment Maintenance, Equipment Parts, and select Equipment programs, including national rollout/conversions. Future category expansion opportunities may include restaurant level Facility Service programs and Energy Efficiency. This position will contribute to the growth and profitability of Dunkin’ by optimizing sourcing strategies, building mutually beneficial supplier relationships, and promoting continuous improvement. The Category Manager will provide strong support in the areas of supplier, cost, risk, and performance management. This includes ensuring timely supply of high-quality products and services at the lowest sustainable cost to the Dunkin’ franchisees on behalf of NDCP.
The Equipment Solutions Group has procurement and supply chain responsibilities for indirect products and services, such as kitchen equipment, smallwares, custom fabrication, distribution, and consolidation programs, construction materials, furnishings, lighting, signs, and store level services. The Category Manager will report directly to the Associate Director, Equipment Solutions. NDCP and this position are located in Duluth, GA.
Responsibilities:
Category Management
o Identification, thorough development, piloting, and implementation of new equipment maintenance programs that drive incremental franchisee value taking full asset life cycle
into account.
o Understand and monitor key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors, geographic considerations, and strategic importance of critical materials/services to manage assigned categories and implement appropriate solutions.
o Locate, analyze, develop, and maintain a competitive supplier base to meet current and future needs of all products and services.
o Lead enterprise-wide negotiations for business terms and develop contracts for the supply of both standard and complex products and services with new and existing suppliers.
o Promote supplier development by communicating performance standards, developing joint improvement initiatives, and actively soliciting feedback from Dunkin’ franchisees.
o Utilize strategic sourcing tools to sustain continuous cost reduction programs for NDCP’s largest controllable expenditures and for the franchisee system.
o Prepare and analyze RFI, RFQ, and RFP as needed.
o Negotiate lowest possible landed cost based on product specifications, quality, service levels, and industry conditions.
o Interface and collaborate with internal NDCP departments such as Inventory Purchasing, Operations, Finance as well as Dunkin’/Inspire Brands Equipment ROI and New
Store/Remodeling teams and its franchisees to provide optimum cross-functional planning and execution of Category Management functions.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or equipment maintenance regional/national program management
2. Experience developing service and warranty contracts inclusive of SLA’s
3. Bachelor’s degree in business (preferred) or a related field of study
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) required; proficiency with SAP and/or Smartsheet is a plus
5. Collaborative, “team first” approach with proven ability to develop strong business relationships and manage effectively
6. Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
7. Proven organizational and project management capabilities including ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
8. Proactive and dedicated with a drive for quality and results
9. Curiosity and aptitude to understand complex requirements across multiple categories
10. Experience with a purchasing cooperative, foodservice distributor, franchise system, or within the foodservice/restaurant industry is a plus
