Job Summary:

Working as a Catering Ops Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing Catered Events at the University of Pittsburgh. You will supervise a team of staff, along with ensuring the catering offered to our guests is of superior quality.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:

• Supervises internal and external catering events
• Trains catering staff and develops existing catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures
• Ensures successful operations of catering functions including labor cost control, foods cost control and preparation, transportation, setup, operation, and cleanup of all events

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality industry including 2+ years experience catering operations (not sales).
• Must have experience with setup and execution of large events of 100+ people such as weddings, reunions, conferences, etc.
• Ability to supervise food preparation, service and cleanup is also essential
• ServSafe Certified a plus
• Must have a valid clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
