Job description
Job Description: The Athletic Trainer (AT) reports to the White River Health System Outpatient Rehab Director and is assigned to provide a variety of athletic training services to the Batesville School District. The athletic trainer is responsible to recognize, evaluate, treat and rehabilitate participating athletes who have suffered a sports injury or illness as well as provide injury prevention education to those athletes. Their responsibilities include coverage of athletic team events and additional special events as assigned. The AT serves as the primary liaison between the assigned school, the parent / athlete, and appropriate healthcare providers. The athletic trainer will also be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Education: Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from a four -year college or university.
Preferred -Master’s degree or equivalent in the field of Athletic Training through an accredited program. by Commmission of Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
Certification of Athletic Trainers through the Board of Certification (BOCATC.org)
Experience: At least 1 year as an athletic trainer experience preferred.
Licensure: Arkansas State Board of Athletic Training license required
Skills: BLS CPR Certification. Must possess good communication skills and the ability to read and write effectively. Must be able to work well with others.
Physical requirements: Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 100# safely with assistance of equipment or another person.

Schedule: Full-time, Days, Full time, nights, weekends
