Pay Range: $20/hr - $23/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team on a 13-week contract basis. The position is located in Toms River, NJ and offers a day shift from Monday to Friday with no weekends, holidays, on-call, or float requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support physicians and nurses
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient flow
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from a Certified Medical Assistant program
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (NHA/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/AMCA/NCMA)
- BLS Certification - AHA
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
