Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with Certified Phlebotomy Certification (CPT) | ***$2K Sign-on Bonus***

Medical Specialty: Pediatric Allergy/Immunology

Type: Full-Time, 5 days per week

Pay: Competitive pay & benefits offered

Locations: Marin County and San Francisco (Laurel Heights) — 2 days per week in San Rafael, and 3 days per week in San Francisco

Role

We are looking to hire an energetic and passionate person to join our diverse and driven team. This person will focus on providing exceptional care for families who suffer from severe food allergies.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Time will be spent on direct patient care, food dose preparation, and multi-channel communication with patients
• Patient care responsibilities include: Obtaining vital signs, placing allergy skin tests, administering injections, overseeing oral food challenges, preparing oral immunotherapy doses, assisting with emergency care, and providing patient education
• Communication related responsibilities include: Proactive patient care including monitoring and responding to patient calls, messages, daily home treatment logs, and EMR messages, and hotline call management after demonstrating clinical assessment skills
• Other administrative responsibilities include: Ordering labs, obtaining insurance approvals, scheduling, data entry, ordering medications, and restocking clinical supplies

Requirements

• Phlebotomy certification and/or experience with pediatric blood draws
• Active California CMA license
• BLS/CPR certification obtained within 30 days of hire
• Personable and professional, especially with pediatric patients and their parents
• Strong communication skills

• Personal initiative, self-motivation, hands-on style, and strong work ethic
• Organized and detail-oriented, as you will be managing the preparation of food doses for food allergic individuals
• Must be able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently
• Creativity and ability to think outside the box while defining sound and practical solutions

Preferred

• Experience in allergy and/or pediatrics
• 1 year of LVN experience
