Job Summary

The CMA/LPN will support a provider in a friendly and bright medical office. Ability to multi-task and exude excellent people skills a must as well as attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment is necessary. Family Medicine, OB/GYN, and EMR experience preferred. If you have great people skills, can juggle multiple tasks, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities and Duties

· Taking medical histories

· Recording vital signs

· Preparing patients for exams

· Collecting and preparing lab specimens

· Performing basic lab tests

· Sterilizing medical equipment.

· Drawing blood

· Administering medications

· Advising on treatment plans

· Cleaning examination rooms

· Ordering supplies and equipment for the medical office.

· Filling out medical forms and prior authorizing different tests or prescriptions needed.

Qualifications and Skills

* Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.

* Graduated from an accredited medical assisting program or higher level of training as an LPN.

* Certified as an MA through the AAMA, NCCT, or AMT required.

* Previous medical assisting/LPN experience in a Family Medicine/OB-GYN medical group setting preferred.

* CPR certification required.

* Knowledge in phlebotomy techniques and administering injections.

* Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR a plus!

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
