CMT - Med Tech -- Generous SIGN ON BONUS . ********
Full and Part-time openings. Openings on 1st and 2nd Shifts. Up to $1500 Sign on bonus. Must work every other weekend and rotating holidays.

The Seasons East Greenwich is a special not-for-profit assisted living residence offering traditional assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. We are looking for a few kind and caring individuals to join our team.

FUNCTION: Administers oral and external medications to residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse.

• Follows current standards of hygiene and infection control when handling medications.
• Follows safe handling, storage and disposal of medications.
• Follows safety in application of medication procedures.
• Accurately documents medication provision.
• Provides medications according to the Five Rights.
• Provides medications according to individual resident needs and abilities.
• Recognizes and reports general reactions to medications.
• Knows the rationale for the effect of medications and treatments and correctly administers it.
• Accurately reports and documents the resident’s symptoms, responses and status.
• Records the administration of medication on the Resident’s medication sheet at the time the medication is given.
• Reports a drug administration error or drug reaction to the appropriate RN/LPN.
• Takes and records vital signs upon administration of medications when required.
• Observes, follows and correctly performs manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Understands and practices confidentiality of information about the resident.
• Recognizes the recipient’s property rights and physical boundaries.
• Recognizes the limitations of the Medication Aide role.
• Recognizes and knows how to report suspected abuse and neglect.
• Perform CNA duties when not passing meds.
• Pay based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Computer use may be required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination. Successful completion of a state approved Medication Aide course and is approved to administer oral and external medication. Must demonstrate competency to perform medication administration in accordance with state regulations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

BCI required. All vaccines must be up to date including COVID-19 vaccine.
