Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated CNAs for our Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.

Under the direction of the Nursing Services team, the Certified Nurse Assistant provides direct patient care, aids with activities of daily living, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Responsible for performing duties in accordance with hospital policies and procedures in collaboration with the nursing services team.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Ensure safety of patients at all times. Consistently provide supervision for assigned patients.
  • Assess patients on an ongoing basis for any signs or symptoms of distress or physical/mental deterioration and report promptly to the Charge Nurse. Identify and implement measures, in collaboration with licensed nursing staff, to increase patient comfort and safety.
  • Consistently record and/or report to the Milieu Specialist or Charge Nurse any treatments, results, observations, patient complaints, and other pertinent information regarding the condition of the patient.
  • Recognize changes in vital signs, LOC, breathing patterns, diet, bowel or bladder habits, skin condition, or hygiene. Report changes to Charge/Staff Nurse in a timely manner.

Full-Time Shift/s: 12 hour shifts, 3 days/week and rotating weekends.

Day Shift: 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM

Evening Shift: 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification required
  • Crisis prevention certification as required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
