The Governing Board of the Yuba Community College District invites applications for the position of Interim Chancellor. The Board is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking administrative leader, committed to an institution serving geographically diverse communities, who ardently embraces the community college mission.
Essential Duties Summary:
Applications and letters of interest for the interim appointment will be accepted through close of business Friday, May 5, 2023 .
This is a short-term two-week interim appointment.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate, by the initial review of the applications date, must possess the minimum qualifications for Educational Administrators in the California community colleges: Possession of a masters degree or above from an accredited institution One year of leadership experience in Higher Education Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications Earned doctorate or other terminal degree from an accredited institution Postsecondary teaching experience, preferably in community colleges Experience in a multi-community college district Five or more years of demonstrated experience as a successful higher education leader in instruction, student services or business services Successful experience working with a Board of Trustees

Pre-employment Requirements
1. Education Code 87408.6 states that no person shall be initially employed by a community college district in an academic or classified position unless the person has submitted to an examination within the past sixty (60) days to determine that he/she/they is free of active tuberculosis.
2. As a condition of employment, the position you are applying for will require that you provide fingerprints to the local police department. The fee charged by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) for the fingerprint report is the employees responsibility.
