Job description
The Appleton YMCA (downtown) is hiring lead child care teachers to interact affectionately and appreciate childrens interests. As the child care provider in our infant classroom, you'll enhance children's learning experiences through play, language and interactive activities. Work in a YoungStar-rated child care center using positive procedures to guide behaviors as well as being attentive, flexible and supportive of children and families.
Must be 18 years of age or older.- Completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI.
- Completion of Introduction to the Child Care Profession, Skills & Strategies for the Childcare teacher, and Fundamentals of Infant & Toddler Care or its equivalent is preferred. The Y can assist you in completing this coursework within 6-months of hire.
- Associate degree in early childhood education is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working with children.
