Position Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Production Faculty, this critical staff member will support the effective operation of the department/office throughout the year. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring of department email and phone messages, managing supplies, developing and maintaining operational spreadsheets, calendars, educational materials, and faculty rosters. They will assist in the planning of student’s events, screenings, and recruitment efforts.
This staff member will act as a custodian of clear communication between all members of the Cinema community.
During the summer session, this staff member will assist in the coordination of 4-12 short films in a variety of ways including but not limited to, developing and maintaining crew lists, processing contracts and tracking them through to completion, assisting with special scheduling needs (e.g., actors, locations, hotels, etc.), and aid students with the school’s reimbursements process.
They will monitor department vehicles and schedule maintenance when needed.
They will be expected to take on special projects when appropriate and necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Administrative support experience.
- Comfortable with complex paperwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Film scheduling and/or budgeting experience.
- Professional production experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of Movie Magic Budgeting & Scheduling software.
- Experience working in an academic environment.
