Civil Project Engineer

You will interface with clients, engineers and architects, project managers and construction supervisors. Typical projects entail land development, grading, drainage, pavement and utility design.

Our Civil Project Engineer will assist in preparing engineering drawings and specifications to specified standards, prepare cost estimates, and transform concept designs into working documents using AutoCAD. Cad software is necessary as AutoCAD is utilized in the preparation of plans and a working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Required a US Citizenship or Green Card Holder

You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, not the same type of project over & over again, fast pace work environment.

· Projects include commercial, hospital, medical facilities, government, city etc..

· Assist in preparing engineering drawings

· Projects include land development, grading, drainage, pavement, and utility design.

Education and Experience and Information -

ü B.S. in Civil Engineering

ü E.I.T. registration preferred (or working toward)

ü Proficiency in computer design software programs preferred, mainly AutoCAD

ü Ability to handle and design multiple projects with minimum supervision

ü Experience with commercial and or industrial projects

Duties-

• Preparation of drawings and specifications (construction documents), including general sheets, symbols, demolition plans, site plans, utility plans, grading plans, details of construction, etc.

• Specifications utilizing industry-standard CSI format.

• Working understanding of applicable codes and standards, with focus on California Building codes.

• Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) review process (typical AHJ such as city and county building departments, Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM), Division of State Architect (DSA), etc.

• Interface with clients, users, project managers, & construction supervisors as well as various consulting firms

• Communicate with in-house technical team, including architects, structural engineers, mechanical and plumbing engineers, fire protection, and AutoCAD drafting technicians.

• AutoCAD and PDF drawings and Excel calculations and spreadsheets

• Preparation of Rough Order-of-Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates

• Bluebeam peer review

• Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM)

• Division of State Architect (DSA)

• City and county plan check for various locations in California

Design of drawings and specifications-

• Project includes – Government, LA City, Commercial, Industrial, Education, Hospital

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
