The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is currently seeking applicants for the position of Claims Auditor.

Duties of this position include:

  • responsible for the audit of all documents related to the payment of claims against the State;
  • responsible for review of the payment process to determine that goods or services have been received, prices are correct, and payments are legal and timely;
  • serves as liaison for state agencies and public relating to voucher status within the office;
  • other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Knowledge of:

  • computer software applications; knowledge of state mainframe beneficial
  • modern office equipment, practices, and procedures;
  • basic bookkeeping and filing practices;
  • OSA rules, procedures, and functions.

Ability to:

  • establish and maintain effective working relationships within the OSA, as well as other state government agencies and the general public;
  • clearly and concisely communicate information;
  • operate a variety of office equipment;
  • effectively manage multiple tasks.
