We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Swap out shred containers and empty shred bins into containers. Transport it to the truck where it will dump and shred the documents.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Including accommodating business that are closed for lunch hours and routing around that.
• Document what was serviced on route sheets and scan containers in each location with a handheld scanner.
• Fill out daily Pre Trip Inspections and retain fuel receipts.
• Input into our automated system for each location what was serviced.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver and some physical labor.
• Ability to maneuver our wheeled containers that can hold up to 200lbs of paper.
• Standing and lifting of up to 20lbs when emptying boxes at large job sites.
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, Cell Phones etc)
• Ability to drive some long distance to service customers in Conroe, Huntsville, Willis, Cleveland and Lufkin to name a few areas.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

• Valid Class B truck driving license
