Bargaining Unit: EA

Rate of Pay: $23.94/hr + DOE

Summary

Assists in the daily clerical/receptionist operations of Occupational/ Health Clinic in Truckee and/or Incline Village.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives visitors, determines nature of business and directs as appropriate.
  • Answers telephones in a courteous and professional manner and gives information to callers or routes as appropriate.
  • Assists with all front office daily operations, to include but not limited to, patient registration, scheduling appointments, resolution of patient/client concerns, daily maintenance of front desk area and special projects as assigned..
  • Registers patients to include accurate information and verification.
  • Maintains medical records correctly and in an organized fashion.
  • Collects payment and provides accurate reporting according to established policy and procedures as needed or requested.
  • Assists with faxes, photocopying and filing as necessary.
  • Maintains office and clinic supplies.
  • Operates various computer systems to enter and retrieve data.
  • Prepares new patient files.
  • Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
  • Complies with System policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or, one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses, Certifications

Required: None

Preferred: Certified Interpreter

Other Experience/Qualifications

Preferred bi-lingual (Spanish/English). Knowledge of medical terminology.
