Key Requirements:

• High school diploma (Bachelor of Science degree preferred)

• Completion of a scrub technician training program or hospital-based training program

• Prior acute care experience

• One-year scrub technician or cardiac technician experience preferred

• RCIS Certification required within 12 months of hire

• BLS and ACLS certifications

• Excellent communication skills and clinical judgment

In this exciting role, you will:

• Assist invasive cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterization procedures

• Prepare procedure rooms and obtain necessary equipment for cardiac, electrophysiological, and peripheral procedures

• Perform patient preparation and assist with pre/post-procedural care

• Interpret electrocardiograms and hemodynamic pressure tracings

• Assist with electrophysiology procedures and device implants

• Precept new hires and clinical internship students

• Record procedural data in an organized, accurate manner

• Demonstrate proficiency in intravascular ultrasound, intracardiac echocardiography, and other catheter-based imaging modalities

• Manage inventory, maintain par levels, and submit purchase requisitions

• Maintain and inspect departmental equipment

• Assist with billing processes, charge audits, and policy/procedure revisions

• Provide flexible staffing coverage as needed
