Clinical Care Technician (
CCT
). HDMC is

Eligible candidates will be transitioning US military service members, eligible for or on terminal leave, or other than dishonorably discharged veterans who served in the capacity of a medic, medical technician or corpsmen. Members of the US Guard and Reserve serving in the capacity of a medic, medical technician or corpsmen may also participate. Eligible candidates shall be evaluated and approved by MMAC following established guidelines prior to acceptance in program and referral to HDMC.

The Clinical Care Technician will provide recovery oriented direct care to an adult population in a forensic/civil setting; maintain a safe, clean and therapeutic environment; actively support and motivate patients to participate in their individualized treatment plans; as well as deliver treatment programming to individuals and groups of individuals with serious mental illness.
Job Duties:
- Interacts with assigned patients according to treatment plan to assist patients to meet treatment goals.
- Conducts patient groups such as skill building and leisure skill groups consistent with competency level.
- Assists patients with ADLs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and laundry to the extent required based on patient functionality. Affords the patient the opportunity to do as much as possible for themselves and performs activities with the patient when they cannot. Follows policy regarding the care of patients who are incontinent and those who have difficulty with ambulation and/or are wheelchair bound.
- Communicates information and feedback related to individual patient safety plans to the Charge RN and treatment team based on own observations and interactions.

- Experience providing direct care to individuals with mental illness, substance abuse issues, and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License

- Currently enrolled or completion of a degree program in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare
