We're looking for a Clinical Director for our Young Adult Therapeutic Care Program in Chicopee, MA, part of the Intensive Community Services (ICS) program, which provides clinically intensive treatment and outreach support to help build, strengthen, and maintain youths' connections to family, home and community. The Clinical Director is responsible for the oversight, development and implementation of young adult (YA) clinical services/therapeutic milieu within program. The Clinical Director provides clinical supervision and training to program staff. Provides clinical mental health services to young adults and their families, as well as interfaces with all respective collaterals to ensure comprehensive treatment that meets the needs of youth and their families; also accountable and available to the 24-hour nature and needs of the Program.
What you'll do
- In conjunction with the Program Director, provides oversight, development and implementation of young adult (YA) clinical services/therapeutic milieu
- Provides Individual, Family and Group Therapy in program and/or in-home based on young adults/family need.
- Provides corresponding case management to young adults, their families and respective collaterals
- Develops strong, supportive relationships with young adults
- Provides for client care and safety
- Monitors clients’ progress and participate in treatment meetings as needed
- Develops, in collaboration with young adults and families, comprehensive treatment plans with targeted interventions for referred needs.
- Performs CANS, Comprehensive Assessment and other assessments as needed/requested
- Provides crisis intervention
- To act as an on-call administrator for the program. Calls will be clinical, staffing, facility, and administrative in nature; pertaining to any aspect of programming.
- Develops and adheres to program and agency policies and procedures
- To perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or AFS Clinical Director
Staff Development Services
- In conjunction with the Program Director, is responsible for the oversight, development and implementation of staff clinical trainings as appropriate to help staff meet the needs of the clients.
- Communicates with staff providing necessary client information
- Provides clinical supervision and training to program case managers, peer mentors and/or family partner and program staff.
- Is a resource and support to staff and young adults while on-call.
Administrative Responsibilities/Record Keeping
- Schedules, provides, documents regular consistent individual and group clinical supervision for clinical program staff.
- Provides supervision to other program staff as needed.
- Attends Departmental clinical team meetings; all Program Meetings
- Notifies Program Director immediately in the event of a crisis, suspected illegal activity, or any behavior constituting an incident in the Program.
- Oversight and maintenance of client files for organization, thoroughness, and licensure compliance.
- Development and maintenance of program materials in adherence with state license and regulations
- Collection and processing of all billing materials for DMH as applicable
- Provides, creates, maintains documentation of client clinical and case management services
Professional Growth and Development
- Attends Agency and Department required meetings and trainings.
- Seeks and uses management staff for training and supervision.
- Attends external trainings as required by the agency and/or to maintain clinical license.

- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel; Ability to learn new PC programs as needed
- Knowledge of how to email, fax and operate related office machines

Minimum Qualifications
- Preferred to have an independent clinical license in mental health, social work, or family therapy such as LMHC, LICSW, LMFT
- Masters level minimum
- At least 2 years working with young adults and/or youth and families
- Past supervisory experience preferred
- Exceptional demonstrated writing and organizational skills
- Exceptional demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Must meet Agency and EEC CORI standards
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must have a car at one’s disposal and be willing to use it for work
- Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records
