Job Summary:
The Emergency Services Float Pool RN position is a perfect position for an RN who likes a fast paced environment with an opportunity to gain more Emergency Room and Urgent Care experience. As a Float Pool RN, you must be willing to float between the 2 Lowell General Hospital Emergency Departments (Main & Saints campus) and the Urgent Care locations (Westford, Lowell & Billerica) based on operational needs. One weekend commitment each month. All Float Pool RN positions offer a float pool hourly differential.

Hours: 36 hours per week, Evening/Night Shift

Qualifications we are looking for:
  • ED experience preferred, Pedi ED experience a plus
  • 1-2 years Critical Care experience required
  • BSN preferred, BLS required, ACLS preferred, TNCC preferred
  • Independent telemetry monitoring experience required
  • Excellent time management skills
  • RN candidates must be able to use electronic based charting systems, Cerner experience preferred

  • Level 3 Trauma with 60,000 visits annually
  • 50 licensed beds, with 5 different care areas
  • Pediatric ED within Department
- Staffed with board certified Emergency Medicine Pediatricians- Behavioral Health section of ED
  • Verified American College of Surgeons Level 3 Trauma Center
  • Certified Stroke Center
  • Primary Angioplasty program
  • DPH SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program

About Saints Campus:
  • 40,000 visits annually
  • 24 licensed beds with an Ambulatory Care area
  • Certified Stroke Center
  • Primary Angioplasty Program with transfer protocol

About Urgent Care:
- Urgent Care Association of America - Accredited Urgent Care Centers
  • Walk-in care for non-life-threatening conditions and other ailments that require prompt medical attention
