Butte Creek Country Club prides itself on being the premier private club of the North Valley. Established in 1962, Butte Creek has a rich history of excellent golf, fine dining and an exciting social club atmosphere. Butte Creek has been the home course for multiple championship events including US Open Qualifiers, AJGA tournaments, NCAA Division II Championships and many more outstanding tournaments. World renowned course designer Bob Baldock shaped the golf course around two meandering creeks that flow through nine of the eighteen holes on a 7,000-yard well-manicured golf course. Recent club expansions include a brand-new outdoor patio, bocce ball courts, brand new course maintenance equipment, state of the art short game facility and many more upgrades to the clubhouse design. Membership continues to grow both on a social and golf caliber and Members at Butte Creek take great pride in belonging to the only private equity club in the vibrant Chico community.
JOB SUMMARY
The Club Activities Associate works in direct with the Club Activities Coordinator on overseeing Club Activities and Club Programming.
With Club Activities, the associate will take direction on execution of club events from the direction of the Activities Coordinator. Kids’ Club is a childcare program which provides an organized, effective, fun and enriching experience, and is person will enjoy working with kids ranging from 3-15 years old.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Club Activiti
- Execute the club’s diverse social programming activities with direction from the coordinator
- Coordinate with the food and beverage department on executable needs for the events
- Take direction from the coordinator on anticipating needs of members for successful events
Kids’ Club
- Monitor and participate with children in various activities (e.g. snack time, group or individual games, outside activities, homework time, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
- Motivate children to participate in age-appropriate activities.
- Ensure that each child is accounted for through proper sign-in/out procedures.
- Properly receive and record necessary payments for each child.
- Ensure the members’ children safety by assisting in set-up, breakdown, and ongoing maintenance to keep the clubhouse sites clean and orderly.
- Have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Apply problem solving skills.
- Ability to follow directions and be receptive to all feedback and direction.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Experience: 1-year previous experience in childcare, afterschool and school environment.
- Other Knowledge/Skills & Abilities: Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules
- Ability to pass a background check.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Physical Demands: Required to be physically dexterous, so that you can work on your feet for long hours (see physical requirements).
- Working Environment: Workers are required to be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.
