Job Description
Pool Manager Trainee:
- Work shifts as a Pool Monitor to remain conscious of issues around the pool, with employees, and residents.
- Interview and hire new employees.
- Train and mentor new hires and continuation training of existing employees.
- Ensure that pool area is being maintained and that employees are performing well.
- Coordinate with employee’s time off requests and make schedules for the season.
- Create or update pool and website documentation: Policies, equipment, registration, budgets, etc. Working with the Board, Office Manager, and CMA when needed.
- Prepare the pool for a new season. Clean, paint, purchase, repair. If necessary, finding a professional for a bigger job and working with the Board, Office Manager, and CMA when needed.
- Ensure that the employees have what they need to do the job.
- Be prepared to act in case of any type of escalation or emergency.
- Document all escalation incidents.
- Handle most of the general maintenance of the pool and pool area. If necessary, finding a professional for a bigger job and working with the Board, Office Manager, and CMA when needed.
- Greet and register pool members from 4 neighborhoods consisting of approximately 615 households. Alleviating issues when they arise.
- Enforce pool rules and ensure the safety of pool members, guests, and employees. Keeping people happy.
- Purchase, organize, and selling of food and drink items.
- Monitor and maintain chemical levels and cleanliness of 100,500-gallon pool as well as a 2700-gallon pool. Purchasing appropriate chemicals for the job.
- Maintain pool during the winter season to provide an easy start of pool opening in the spring.
- Coordinate with the Office Manager for the pool card online registration and work with employees to make and distribute the pool cards to eligible homeowners.
Requirements
- Be weather aware.
- Must be able to swim and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Due to liability and insurance, employees are preferred to be at least 18 years old.
