To operate CNC machinery in a safe and efficient manner by performing the following duties:
Major Position Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading the machines to which you are assigned.
- Make adjustments to the lathe settings, controls, and tooling when problems arise.
- Train in the company’s quality management system.
- Inspect parts on a consistent basis with the proper measuring devise to ensure quality.
- Produce an acceptable quantity of quality part.
- Train in the company’s safety manual.
- Document quantities produced and critical dimensions of parts throughout the day on Process Control Records (PCRs).
- Make sure that all equipment is running safely and effectively.
- Keep the workstation and facility in a neat and orderly manner.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to perform the task at hand in a consistent fashion.
- Competent in using basic measuring devices and able to learn how to use more complicated measuring tools.
- Ability to comprehend the quality management system and material segregation.
- Ability to learn new workplace skills.
- Committed to producing quality and conforming product.
- Comprehension of basic mathematics applicable to manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Safety conscious behavior.
