Responsibilities: The Collections/Deductions Analyst (business to business) will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is the timely and accurate review, analysis, reconciliation, and resolution of customer deductions/short payments, as well as the collection of past due invoices. This position will improve customer performance metrics (deduction and invoice management) and take corrective actions as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage and analyze customer deductions and short payments on invoices paid to EFFG

  • Coordinate research to properly classify the deductions as valid or invalid and identification of responsible party
  • Ad hoc deduction report analysis for internal / external reporting needs
  • Communicate with sales and finance teams on a regular basis to review program accruals and promotions
  • Complete and process approved credits
  • Provide timely follow up and resolution of customer past due invoices and invalid deductions.
  • Communicate effectively to our customers and Sales Team when past due invoices remain unresolved, and provide necessary details (invoice copies, proof of delivery, etc.) when additional documentation is requested.
  • Provide customer service and develop relationships with internal/external customers
  • Support the accounting and reconciliation of various customer trade programs, including volume and growth rebates, co-op advertising, and other discounts and allowances
  • This position will work closely with Sales, Logistics, Customer Service, External Customers, and other departments to research and resolve discrepancies with payments from customers and promotion processing
  • Analyze and provide data to identify trends
  • Support team initiatives to create process improvements and functional efficiencies within deduction management
  • Participate in process improvement projects, and support other management directives as assigned
  • Participate in developing internal processes and procedures and training newly hired team members
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting/Finance or business-related field preferred
  • 2 -3 years of Sales Deduction or Accounts Receivable experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and advanced formulas
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management within the company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 1-3 years of commercial collection experience
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Exhibit high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Results driven and self-motivated
  • Willingness to work beyond normal business hours as needed to meet business needs
