Collections Representative (Non-Affiliated Clients)
Job description
CardWorks Servicing ("CWS") is one of the largest privately-held provider of outsourcing services for bankcard-related products to banks and non-bank lenders in North America. CWS offers management expertise across the credit spectrum and supports both MasterCard and Visa accounts as well as a variety of private label debit, credit, stored value, and customer bankcards.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for handling the specialized calling of a subset of account holders; specifically, for those client portfolios that require prior experience/knowledge in credit card & loan collections in an effort to collect on past due accounts and clearly convey all client specific programs through utilizing our automatic dialer system, skip tracing, or manually calling.
Essential Functions:
- Primarily assists with placing and taking calls through the automated dialer
- Utilizes the Private Branch Exchange PBX system to perform skip tracing and manual work
- When contact is made with account holder, attempt to gain consent, attempt to collect payments and/or settle accounts. Analyze each customer’s financial situation and offer best alternative to resolve debt
- Utilize the Agent Portal system to appropriately document all activity
- Follow all guidelines of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Assists with the overflow of inbound calls as needed
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent required
- Prior experience in Collections with Credit Cards or Loans related to inbound and or outbound telephone experience highly desirable.

- Familiarity with Windows based computer applications

- Ability to carry out written and verbal instruction
- Must compose routine correspondence
- Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information in a manner consistent with essential job functions
- Ability to multi-task is essential
