This position is within Kinder Morgan’s Midstream group, reporting to the Manager – Commercial Scheduling. This individual is the main point of contact for customer inquiries, analyzing and resolving issues regarding daily scheduling activities for natural gas liquids on the various Kinder Morgan assets. This candidate should understand upstream and downstream departmental relations, as well as work closely with operations and commercial.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing all daily logistics for Y-Grade, Ethane, Propane, Butanes and Natural Gasoline, which can include transport via rail, barge, trucks, and pipelines
• Responding accurately and timely to customer inquiries concerning operations and or contract requirements
• Effectively communicate with a broad base of internal and external customers, while maintaining positive relationships
• Reviewing and monitoring customer contractual rights, quantities and qualities of various products as defined by the contract
• Monitor SCADA and give directions to gas control or field personnel
• Reconciliation and resolution of contractual inventory on a daily and monthly basis
• Completing end of the month closing responsibilities
• Analyze and fully understand complex issues or events while resolving competing priorities
• Ability to comprehend the entire workflow from contract creation to invoicing
• Following through to appropriate areas within the company concerning issues relating to all the above
• Special projects and other daily, weekly, or monthly assignments as required
• Participating in the on-call rotation and ability to work weekend, evening, or holiday shifts when scheduled

• Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets.

Position Requirements

• Education/Experience - Bachelor’s degree or Minimum 5 years relative gas industry experience
• Previous experience in a customer service position where complex concepts are conveyed using various communication tools within a limited time-frame
• Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload in fast paced and frequently changing environment
• Ability to balance competing priorities while working in tight and changing deadlines
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish relationships and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Working in a team environment as well as working autonomously with limited direct supervision
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Possess the ability to learn new technology
• Experience with transactional data systems similar to Quorum, Right Angle or Allegro is a plus
