Job Summary/Primary Role: The Communications Associate is tasked with providing support in copywriting, editing, corporate communications, and administrative tasks supporting the ABWE global family of ministries. This person assists the department in the execution of communications strategy by lending their voice to the ABWE platform and facilitating communications processes to support effective multichannel acquisition and cultivation efforts.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write and edit content for ABWE digital and print publications, promotional materials, and other media channels.
- Creates new blog posts and articles for the ABWE website.
- Assists the Lead Editor in editing content submitted to the department to ensure brand and style alignment.
- Assists the Digital Engagement team in content and postings for external constituents.
- Assists in editing and distribution of internal and external corporate communications.
- Assists in managing and executing communication protocol for corporate communications.
- Administers new project intake, collaborates with stakeholders, and participates in final delivery.
- Assists Communications and Media team members to ensure on-time and high-quality deliverables.
- Manages communications requests and overall interaction with constituents for general information.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Qualifications: Ability to pass background check and all necessary clearances as mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or similar, preferred.
Minimum Prior Experience Required: prior experience in a similar setting, preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations, including extended periods of time sitting at a desk. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a moderate to high noise level. Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
