Part Time Communications Manager

EcoAction Arlington is seeking a part-time communications manager to work 20 hours a week.

You will …

• Manage and coordinate communication efforts including monthly e-newsletter, blog posts, web content, social media posts, fundraising appeals.
• Develop and implement a communications plan to support the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan
• Manage social media presence and EcoAction Arlington website and lead website update to reflect new organizational strategic plan
• Provide messaging for written communications, including fundraising appeals
• Create social media graphics used to promote events and fundraising campaigns
• Develop communications plans and messaging for major fundraising campaigns
• Analyze digital metrics from a variety of tools (Google analytics, Hootsuite, TweetDeck) and synthesize monthly, and to inform best practices

We’re looking for someone with …

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum five years work experience (or commensurate advanced degree)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing websites and social media profiles
• Strong organizational and planning abilities
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency with databases and web-based tools, such as Wordpress
• Initiative taking inclination
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Experience creating graphics with Canva or Adobe Express

Bonus points for …

• Fundraising, development and/or grant writing experience
• Experience working for nonprofits
• Background in environmental issues

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $32,000.00 per year
