Hiring Range: $22.69 - $26.54Full Range: $22.69 - $30.40Under general supervision of the Executive Director of Community Services, this position responsible for assisting with community engagement activities, providing clerical services, assisting with special projects, and interacting with Town employees and citizens.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Manages the reservation requests for the Community Room, making sure scheduling is accurate for Town Staff and the public.Assists with community engagement activities. Creates promotional and marketing materials.Sets up and cleans up meeting room, prepares meeting materials and order food.Manages requests from departments for Town website updates.Updates web content for Town website, Employee Intranet and Council Dashboard. Processes payments, fees and requisitions. Purchases materials and supplies to maintain inventory. Prepares documents, schedules meetings and answers phone calls.Participates in special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education Guidelines: Experience: Two (2) years of experience in special events coordinating or in a related field, municipal experience is preferred. 1 year experience in managing and updating website content.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of advanced study or training.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. License or Certification: Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.Must pass MVR check.Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.Knowledge of: Oral and written English communication skills including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.Computer skills, Windows, Microsoft Office applications, Internet, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Outlook.Ability to: Accept positive suggestions.Demonstrate research and analytical skills.Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Prioritize and organize various assignments in order to produce efficient results.Understand and follow written and oral instructions.Establish and maintain cooperative-working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.Communicate effectively with internal and external customers both orally and in writing.Complete work assignments in a timely manner.Establish and manage multiple deadlines.Prepare records and maintain reports.Operate standard office equipment.
