JOB SUMMARY/SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Assist the Coordinator and the President of the Jackson-Madison Prevention Coalition (JMPC) in managing a Strategic Prevention Framework for the State Opioid Response II Community Response Grant. Specific responsibilities include providing technical assistance, support services, and linkages with the coalition, as well as monitoring and completing data entry. Attend all required state and local coalition meetings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist the Coordinator and Project Director of the JMPC in managing a Strategic Prevention Framework for the State Opioid Response II Community Response Grant focusing on primary prevention of stimulant and opioid use
• Complete community and capacity assessments as it pertains to primary prevention of stimulant and opioid use
• Provide documentation for all activities that pertain to the Coalition's Intervention Implementation Plan
• Assist Coordinator to provide technical assistance, support services, and linkages with the Coalition
• Coordinate with local churches, neighborhood groups, afterschool, and summer programming for youth
• Monitor and report data to the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS), EMT associates, or other designated agencies
• Manage media campaign activities for primary prevention of stimulant and opioid use
• Attend all State organized ROPS/Program Trainings
• Attend JMPC meetings and Executive Committee meetings
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences

EXPERIENCE

• Three years working experience preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Jackson, TN: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• Social Work: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
