Job Summary:
The Individual and Family Plan (IFP) Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the adherence of Enhance Health's IFP Field Market Organization (FMO) activities to all regulatory and compliance requirements. This position will report directly to the Director of Compliance and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day compliance initiatives related to Individual and Family Plans including managing marketing materials, agent training, reporting, auditing, monitoring, and corrective action plans. As the IFP subject matter expert, the Medicare Compliance Manager will provide guidance and support to various internal departments, ensuring company-wide compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance. This role will contribute significantly to the development and maintenance of a strong culture of compliance within the organization, helping to safeguard Enhance Health's reputation and standing with regulatory bodies and customers alike.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage IFP compliance policies and procedures in alignment with federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance.
- Oversee the review, approval, and management of IFP marketing materials, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance.
- Develop and assist with the delivery of comprehensive IFP compliance training to staff, agents, and other stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain a robust IFP compliance reporting framework, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required data to various state insurance departments and other regulatory bodies.
- Assist with the management and resolution of IFP-related complaints, ensuring corrective actions are taken as needed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on IFP compliance, providing guidance and support to internal departments, including sales, marketing, customer service, and others.
- Monitor changes to federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance, updating policies, procedures, and training materials as needed.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and IFP Sales teams to ensure consistent and cohesive compliance efforts across the organization.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the company's overall compliance program, including risk assessments, audits, and monitoring activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Respond to external requests (carrier and regulator initiated) as it relates to the IFP line of business.
- Assist with compliance implementation and management of the Enhanced Direct Enrollment Platform.
- Conduct internal investigations into potential or suspected compliance issues and escalations, ensuring thorough examination, documentation, and resolution while collaborating with relevant departments and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IFP compliance.
Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, and guidance pertaining to Individual and Family Plans.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare and insurance industries, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or similar certification is preferred.
