Salary: $15.50
SUMMARY: The Hebert T Clark House is a frail elderly community that consists of two separate communities. The Congregate Community, 45 Canione Road, and the Herbert T Clark Assisted Living Community, 43 Canione Road. The Evening Attendant is responsible for handling phone and walk-in inquiries, responding quickly to in-house emergency calls (i.e., call for aid, fire alarms). The individual must be able to relate positively with the residents, volunteers, family members and staff.
The position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task in an environment that contains frequent interruptions and the ability to work with and relate to persons of all backgrounds. A willingness to perform other duties as assigned and adjust workflow to meet the needs of the community.
The hours of the position vary. The incumbent is required to remain in the Community during their shift and is paid for a half-hour break.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following:
Monitor fire alarm, call for aid panel and door intercom. Respond to all emergency alarms in both communities to ensure resident wellbeing and safety. Notify appropriate emergency personnel (911), HTC staff, Assisted Living staff, maintenance staff and emergency contact as applicable. Complete a resident incident/accident report for all emergencies
Report in for shift with the on-duty attendant or security staff. Attendant is required to remain on- duty until next shift employee arrives.
Review the previous activities, emergencies, resident status and building status with the on-duty attendant or security staff.
Review logbook and keep detailed notes in the daily log, noting emergencies, resident interactions. For incidents that occur on your shift that require follow-up, complete incident-lease violation report identifying concern to be addressed if a resident requires follow-up from the RSC or Director.
Maintain excellent customer service standards
Answer phone, check phone for messages and respond to inquires about the communities.
Write up work orders and following up with residents as needed. Call on-call maintenance for emergency work orders.
