Job description

To oversee all Construction type vehicles and responsible for planning, organizing, development, budget and direction for overall construction type vehicle maintenance. Working as a team player and work with other Mechanics, including training while maintaining a safe work environment.

The construction vehicle mechanics main function is to keep construction vehicles in working condition, and do service maintenance when needed that includes going through every construction type vehicle in detail while maintaining proper documentation of work that has been done or needs to be done.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee Construction Vehicles from a maintenance point of few: Train, provide open communications, recommend performance reviews, resolve problems.
  • Monitor all current budget activity and draft budget plans for future years.
  • Maintain accurate time clock and work summary
  • Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and vendors.
  • Willing to work day, night and grave yard shifts.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment.
  • Hold open communication and relationships with managers in various departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work closely with Construction vehicle operators.
  • Organize and execute off season maintenance.
  • Greet guests and provide superior guest service as needed when asked questions or out in the field.
  • Inspect, test and maintain construction vehicles.
  • Check daily inspections and logs daily for accuracy and work needed.
  • Educate the construction vehicle operators on the proper use as needed.
  • able to operate construction vehicles.
  • Properly document training and work logs.
  • Help other Mechanics or departments as needed.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be able to deal with high volumes of people in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Able to read and write English.
  • Able to work well with others in a TEAM environment.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds over your head.
  • Must be willing to adhere to the appearance code of the department.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Must be able to work Holidays and weekends which may include evenings and nights.
  • Must be able to handle multi task environment.
  • Addressing complaints with managers and operations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Adhere to company safety standards.
