Job Summary

The Content Manager/Digital Deputy is responsible for supporting the section Editor in the generation of digital content responding to the needs and formats of the different brands of the GFR Media on Endi.com, social media, and others. It’s an informed journalist of the local news, political affairs, and trending topics that uses real-time audience measurements. Works in coordination section reporters and collaborates with other departments that bring valuable content. Is a strategic partner supporting and promoting the multimedia, multiplatform and multi-brand strategy, as well as the first and 24/7 digital goal.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinates the personnel under his charge, ensuring high quality compliance of his work team.
• Support the Editor in the administrative functions of the section as well as edit and distribute the content in the different GFR Media digital platforms.
• Establish a daily multiplatform pattern of news topics that guarantees complete and adequate coverage, according to the style and approach of the brand.
• Plan and execute exclusive materials according to the DNA of the brands for different social networks (videos, infographics, and other network formats) keeping up with new content distribution formats, including newsletters, alerts, microformats, among others.
• Develop scripts, run downs and lists of shots to generate audiovisual content.
• Use historical, real-time data to make strategic decisions in news coverage.
• Enhance audience growth goals by maximizing the digital content products using new formats and technologies.
• Enforce the audience measurement systems managed by the Company and use the intelligence they provide to increase brand traffic.
• Analyze daily news coverage of all the country's news media – newspapers, radio, television, Internet, cables, etc. – to compare them with that of GFRMedia brand.
• Encourage interaction, collaboration, and the free flow of content between sections.
• Edits written and multimedia reports to ensure that they are within the parameters of quality, image, and style established.
• Selects photos, videos, audios, infographics, and any other content support to accompany the editorial material.
• Coordinate meetings with their supervisees to discuss future issues and content to be developed.
• Conceptualize new projects or ideas that generate new business opportunities for the Company.
• Support the work team in all functions, always promoting our mission, vision, objectives, and company strategies.
• Comply with all policies, administrative and human resources procedures established by the Company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communication or related area.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field or related.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
