Controller Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will be an integral part of our accounting and finance team.

Position Responsibilities

The role is broad, with an opportunity to drive change improvement throughout the organization. Position tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Month-end close reporting for our Colorado operations (primary), and support close procedures for Arizona operations (secondary);
• Payroll review, and system management (Paylocity HRMS/Payroll) for ensuring payroll expense accuracy to Plan. Calculate and review accrued payroll, bonuses and expense management;
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Manage bank balances and reporting, including matching and managing ACH and deposits, and QBO bank data feeds;
• Review coding, posting and processing of accounts payable (Bill.com);
• Support the CFO, with annual budgeting and planning. Prepare monthly explanations for actual variances to budget;
• Support change management, to improve applications used by the accounting team, and improve the efficiencies of our corporate accounting function

Requirements

• CPA and BS in Accounting;
• Advanced Excel Technical Skills. Ability to build financial modeling, and analysis;
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience;
• Working in mid-market companies, with revenues between $50-$100 million in annual revenue;
• Ability to manage, build teams, and train staff
