Futures Recovery Healthcare is a state-licensed, Joint Commission accredited behavioral healthcare provider located in Tequesta, Florida of Palm Beach County. Futures treats addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders using an evidence-based, holistic approach that integrates somatic medicine, psychotherapies, physical therapy, and wellness services. Futures offers a comprehensive residential and detoxification program, the Orenda concierge program, the RISE adventure-based program, as well as outpatient services. Futures emphasizes individualization, quality, compassion, continuing care, and alumni involvement.

We are currently seeking an experienced cook who can provide outstanding client service and care with compassion and discretion. Our ideal candidate will; go the extra mile, be a team player, have prior experience in the area of sanitation, hygiene & food preparation.

Position Requirements:

  • Able to do repetitive work.
  • Able to prepare food according to food handlers guidelines.
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures.
  • Able to communicate with Prep Cooks & Wait staff.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of where and how everything is stored.
  • Label and date all food stored & Rotate food as needed.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Flexible with job duties.
  • Obtain / have First Aid CPR certification.
  • Obtain / have Florida State Food Handlers certification as applicable.
  • Able to work all shifts and holidays.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Able to work in a high pace and hot environment.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Keep a clean, stocked and tidy workspace.
  • Be able to self-motivate in work environment.
  • Able to follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Attends in-service training, when necessary.
  • Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or director.

REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2-3 years of cooking experience in a long-term care environment highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with a variety of cooking methods and procedures.
  • Ability to sequence and schedule demands and determining timing for use in equipment.
  • Food Service Sanitation Certificate preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Strong leader with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility with schedule
