We have available 1st shift part-time Cook position to work at one of our branch facilities, Thorek Memorial Hospital Andersonville (5025 N Paulina St, Chicago, IL 60640). The Cook will provide and serve the highest quality of food to the patients and personnel and work to maintain the highest standards of preparation and sanitation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Prepare all patients, retail and catering meals according to approved recipes.
• Ensure that all food is at the proper temperatures and that they are recorded in the temperature log.
• Ensure that all HAACP guidelines are followed during all aspects of food production.
• Ensure that work area is clean and free of debris. Follow all cleaning lists.
• Work in conjunction with the Director on new ideas for retail food.
• Ensure that all food prep is dated and labeled properly.
• Ensure that all food needed for prep is accomplished within the hours of their shift.
• Ensure the production sheets are followed and that leftover logs are completed on a daily basis.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear the proper uniform for the potation worked.
• Is in compliance with THOREK Memorial Attendance Standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• 3 years hospital cook experience
• Food service license / certificate required
