Position Overview
Who Are We
MERS Goodwill is seeking a Retention Specialist for the St. Louis County area to assist individuals with disabilities maintain employment in the community. This position supports individuals on their jobs to help them with employment success! Excellent time management, case management skills, and written/verbal communication required. Independent transportation and insurance required. Local travel: mileage reimbursement provided.
Primary Duties:
1. Maintains working knowledge of CARF or other governing body standards and ensures their
implementation on an ongoing basis
2. Assists with program/client/staff issues that require supervision, problem solving, or intervention.
3. Develop and maintain active partnerships with referral sources
4. Maintains a consistent pattern of referrals appropriate for maximum utilization of staff
5. Reviews assessment sites used to ensure relevance for consumer interests/abilities and final
recommendations
6. Reviews progress notes and hours billed to ensure quality services and maximum utilization of
staff
7. Reviews monthly financial reports for revenue, expenses, and variance from budget (+/- 10%)
8. Works with staff to ensure that reports and billing are submitted in a timely manner and with the
necessary quality
9. Maintains a professional knowledge of the current job market in order to uphold the relevance of
reports and recommendations
10. Assess program quality, utilizing results to improve individual consumer and programmatic
planning
11. Maintain personal caseload outcomes according to program expectations
12. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field required as well as a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Rehabilitation Services provision. Also requires supervisory and leadership abilities; ability to observe and work well with people; and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• NA; ABA certification or training preferred
